Have you ever identified a great idea then found someone else was already doing “your thing”? If it hasn’t happened it will. I’ve been wrestling through building a podcasting guide so this week I share what I’ve had to remind myself through this journey. If you are overwhelmed by getting started this may help you push through.
How To Differentiate Your Idea From Similar Ideas
- Realize people want to learn from YOU and your perspective because they trust you.
- The market may feel saturated, look a bit deeper. Is the thing current? Is it relevant still? What can be improved?
- You will learn from others. DOING things will help you gain perspective and share how you’ve applied the information. This is not copying, it’s providing tested advice.
- Share your great idea with others and confirm you are capable and let them help you see why you can provide a separate perspective.
Accountability: My goal is to release new episodes on Tuesday. I’m working through some productivity exercises to get out ahead of the day’s these get more proactive with pre-recording episodes. I haven’t gotten to that point yet, but that is my goal in October.
